I recently purchased these as a replacement to the more expensive Intex branded size 'A' filters.
These filters are not fit for sale. They literally cut the flow rate of my pump in half. I only have a 1,000 gph pump anyway, but when I installed one of the filters the difference was noticeable after only two days of use. The walls were slimy, the water had a greenish tint and the pool was MUCH dirtier that ever before.
Figuring maybe I had a bad one, I replaced it after only three days. This filter was black when I took it out. Never has a pool filter been this color before. It was as if the entire filter had gotten plugged and wasn't allowing water to properly flow through. I only kept the second one of these in for a day before taking them both back to the store for a refund. Second one was the same color when I removed it.
I do have the saltwater system installed. Maybe these filters are just not designed to handle saltwater? Regardless, I would avoid them and get the Intex brand filters. Much less headache. -- Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
